The Secret of the Letters: Returning to the Language Before Wounds
Healing through the letters of the Qur’an — where Divine speech restores what trauma tried to erase.
🕯️ 1. Letters as Light Codes
In the Islamic tradition of ‘Ilm al-Huruf, Arabic letters are not simply alphabet — they are pre-creation light codes, each carrying divine resonance. When you sit with a letter — not a word, not a sentence, but a single letter — you return to a place untouched by distortion. It’s the speech of Allah in its most primordial form.
-
Alif stands tall with Oneness.
-
Ba curves inward, echoing womb and containment.
-
Sin ripples with secrecy, subtlety, and spirit.
When we approach these not as symbols, but as presences, the body remembers. The self begins to realign.
🧬 2. Pre-Trauma Language
Language post-trauma becomes splintered: full of triggers, betrayals, or inherited lies. But letters remain unbroken. They are pre-verbal, bypassing ego and theory. Returning to the letters is a way of saying:
“Show me the code before the damage. Let me remember what I was before the wounding.”
This is what the Qur’an does. It doesn’t just tell stories — it restores sound to silence, meaning to memory.
🌿 3. Letters Restructure the Heart
The word ḥarf in Arabic doesn’t only mean letter — it also means an edge, a borderline. So to work with letters is to:
-
Trace the edges of your identity
-
Rebuild the walls of your spiritual house
-
Refuse entry to the waswās (whisperers) who seek entry through unguarded gates.
With every recitation, you fortify. You don't just read the letters — you become them.
🔍 4. Example: Peeling Back “Yā-Sīn”
From the call of An-Nās, we are drawn to the mystery of Yā-Sīn. These aren't just disjointed letters — they are gates in the unseen. When we separate them, we begin to feel their weight:
Yā (ي): A personal address — the soul being called, as if your name is echoing through the unseen. It is nearness. A turning of the Face toward you.
Sīn (س): A silken sound — the unseen breath of revelation, the current of subtle speech, the signal in the silence.
Yā (ي): Again, a return — but now changed. The second Yā mirrors the first, but something has been received. It is the soul answering.
Sīn (س): Again — but now it sinks in. What was once whisper now becomes witness.
You’re not just reciting.
You’re being rewritten.
💎 5. What Happens When You Commit to This Practice
-
You recognize foreign voices within. These often identify themselves in the memories of your life in the people who planted those seeds there in the first place.
-
You become attuned to distortion — not just in media, but inside yourself (if it is there)
-
You soften and stabilize — your own voice aligns with Divine rhythm.
-
You begin healing not just yourself — but the ancestral and communal pain inside you.
You become bold.
This is not “recitation” for show. It is return. This is dhikr in seed form.
The deeper you go into the letters, the more silent your enemies become.
The louder Allah becomes.
This is not for everyone — only for those who have already committed themselves to the front lines of the Imam’s (ʿatfs) army.
I started using ilmul huruf last year to find people's ziodic sign but I don't know much about it hope you will keep guiding us through Thank you very much may Allah bless you and your family
ReplyDeleteAs salamu alaikum sister. Thank you for your feedback. This helps encourage readers. That's an interesting method. I have always worked with numbers but using the Quran which I personally began also last year, at the beginning of this Qur'an that I am working on and which SHOULD be finished in 4 months - I have found anoher world. Perhaps you could also teach me your method. I work with names if the date of birth is unknown but to find he zodiac - this is new. People who are uninformed and follow tradition, tend to believe that zodiac study is not allowed in Islam but the Imams (as) do talk about the zodiac - one example is in Hube Ali in the Tafsir of verse 41 in Surah Yasin. Imam Ali (As)? Imam Jafar As SAdiq (As)? One of the two Imams (as) tells a questioner hmm maybe it was Imam Ali-Ar-Ridha (As) that the zodiac that was in power at the time when the sun first shone, was the zodiac of Cancer. He says that Cancer rules the world. Where do you get your knowledge from about the zodiac? I used to (throughout my teens and on) read about numerology from books but I always wanted to know the proof. Now I am doing this and trying my best to share that proof from the Asma ul Husa with my readers. Its really fascinating when we go directly to the Qur'an and the Asma ul Husna because we know that without a shadow of doubt - this is certain. I appreciate your comment - fee free any time. Fi aman illah and condolences for the Shahadat of Muslim Bin Aqil (as).
DeleteI am sorry, I realized that the name is not Umm Bashir but Umar I apologize for the miss read
DeleteIt's ok I am Umar and Bashir is my surname also Umar M Basheer on Facebook at first I thought astrology is for magicians and is not to be practiced in Islam until I found out that the knowledge itself is a gift from God given to us to use it for good but some people used it for their own personal interest just to achieve their worldly desires
ReplyDeleteYes brother, I got that now. Many Muslims who are uninformed, are of the opinion that Astrology is divination. This is because we have stayed on a traditional and stagnant level. As you said, All knowledge is a gift and the lost property of the believer because a believer will understand what to do with it. Even the concept of reincarnation comes from the concept of metamorphosis and reincarnation itself is far from the truth of Islam, nevertheless they are distorted truths which found their seed in Islam. It's for us to delve deeper and to understand the line. Coming back to Astrology, and numerology, the chakras, MBTI and any other seemingly secular study, they are all different layers of knowledge that help us to become whole. I use them all. The problem is that Muslims are often caught in the dunya and don't understand that the line between the two is 1. Intention and 2. Emperical fixation. Thank you for your message.
DeleteI think this method is not new most especially to people like you Apart from using date of birth there is another method that many people use first of all for males you use their name and their mothers name and for females their names and their fathers name then u will apply ilmul huruf and do the calculation I'm just a student In your school and I'm gaining a lot
ReplyDeleteAs salamualaikum, Eid Mubarak (although with Palestine suffering like this, what is Eid for he rest of us). Juma Mubarak. I see, Yes I am familiar with the name calculations, it is often but not exclusively done when the dob (date of Birth) is unknown and sometimes when different cultures use different calendars, it unifies. I understood that you were finding the zodiac out of the letters not the traits, challenges and life path etc. Often the mother's name is used for male and female because it is the mother who dictates the nature and this is where the heart diseases stem from - her line. However, if we want to go into genetic ailments, and depending on what they are, then the father's numbers can be figured out. I use the entire family to understand cross messages and have found many answers in that already - mostly confirmations for what we intuitively already know. We need this confirmation for certainty. My book Aligning Worlds touches on this knowledge and it is not to be overlooked it is such a significant aspect of the zuhur and walking back the path to purity that In sha Allah I hope everyone will begin to at least try to learn it and I am here for questions with whatever I can answer. I cannot emphasize enough on this matter and it crosses all aspects of the self, including physical health, the ailments of which begin in the spiritual disconnect. I too am still a student and this field is the beginning of the real work in Islam as far as I am concerned. Thank you again for your feedback, it is valuable.
DeleteWa'alaykum sallam
DeleteInshaAllah Palestine will be Free soon Bihaqe Imam zaman AJF Are you using the mothers for both male and female if that's what you mean then I will start using using mother's name for both but first I'd love to read the book
